I don’t have many words to give out with this post. I think I’m going to let the multimedia speak for itself.
I will state the facts however:
Screen size: Huge, 46″ inches to be exact
History: We’re creating it. Lucien Mark is the first company in Australia to develop an event platform on a multi-touch interface – similar to iPad and iPhone finger interaction.
Housing: The screens have specially designed stands that can tilt and rise to any angle and height.
Operating system: Both the Lucien Mark products and screens were designed to work in with each other to provide fully integrated access.
So, without further ado….
Pictures are speak louder than words:

Movies:
3D mapping on a touch screen
Viewing photos on a touch screen

Its the old adage, the old swinging debate, the perfunctory imagery of do-gooder hippy recycling hybrid driver…that has me wondering.
Did we lose the importance of environmental evaluation and action because it was cool to do so? Because, if we swept it under the carpet fast enough, that maybe those hippies would go away?
And yes, whilst we have a very obvious green and environmental aspect to our product, perhaps we’re just looking at all this the wrong way.
Perhaps our stereotyping should never have boarded the bus to Nimbin in the first place.
A business orientation, as opposed to environmental movement conscription, would hasten one to review revenue modelling, business impact and corporate responsibility as perhaps greater factors of impact and ones that would appear easiest for general business traders to understand. Make the approach familiar and the unfamiliar is grasped and implemented. Your freighting over interstate lines may well be best replaced with resourcing from local suppliers? Don’t print 1.5 tonnes of final programs, go online instead? Don’t fly out a speaker for US$25K, video conference instead.
Whilst European nations continue to be decisive and take action on measurement and the impact on environment and economy it would appear that bravery is an aspect clearly lacking in our national leaders.
Inevitable suit following would dictate that an ETS will evolve into legislation we must all abide by. Be it in the number of lights we leave on in the house to the light globes that we power our house with. To offsetting by 100 mile food distribution, the retrofitting of old convention centres to rolling out technology, that once proven, will make meetings measured and paperless.
Perhaps this is just an uneducated whinge, but given the many varied and exciting conversations we have been having with highly regarded business entities of late, from all industries involved with Meetings & Events, it would appear that many are ready to change the hippy outlook to one of cohesion, decision and professionalism. And I say, well done. If the government will do little to help, perhaps its about time that business owners did. I’m of the deplorable fence-sitting generation – I am not for Labour, for Liberal, for the Greens or for caucus voting. With the pending election, I am for the party that shows me evidence they are willing to be brave. Time, as outlined by Environment Business Australia, waits for no man…or woman.

The team recently attended day 1 of a 2 day workshop at the Innovate SA offices.
An intense, small group workshop was led by entrepreneur wunderkind, Matthew Michalewicz. His insight into the world of business, and technology associated business, was second to none, and to say that it opened pandoras box to us would be an understatement.
The inspiration drawn from the first day alone should commendable not only to the presenter, the attendees (what a diverse group!) but first and foremost to the wonderful program created by Susan Andrews and the Innovate SA initiative. www.innovatesa.com.au …
In the exploration to see what other states do I was amazed, and somewhat proud of my adopted state, that there really is nothing like it in the country. The calibre of attendees also highlighted to me the wonderful thinking of young individuals out there. Importantly also was the awareness that working in our ‘silos’ 25/7 limits our discovery to more than just our immediate worlds. The scope and intelligence of other amazing projects allows us to tighten the focus of our development, among other things.
If I could encourage you, if you are indeed a young technology company like our own, to look further into this project I would hazard a guess that you too might discover a whole new world of the young, tech entrepreneur.

One of the most successful services we provide is the digitalposters product.
The future of our industry, we believe, is in education and technology and digital posters have reinvigorated a very traditional and founded style of presentation at scientific and medical meetings. The concept is very simple in premise; “make paper posters electronic’; The delivery of education via technology.
When considering the audience and the presenter it really opens up many facets of programs and ultimately the thinking around the delivery of the presentation.
If we consider the poster presenter for a moment;
Typical backgrounds of poster presenters are students, developing countries, English as a second language presenters and a conduit for research result delivery. The presenter can be impassioned, eager and anxious. With this in mind, the focus shifts from large pieces of paper in a space overwhelmed with boards. Engaging displays are viewed on large LCD screens and space to mill around and discuss the work is possible. The technology allows for the viewing of A new service like digital posters not only highlights the thinking of the committee but allows the speaker to overcome language and hierarchical matters to unveil their work in the regard they wanted.
It asks committees to challenge the way they construct their programs when engaging with their audiences. Harnessing a new technology provides possibility to not only the speaker, but to extend the conversation past the wine and cheese session and into forums, over coffees and into arenas that disseminate the knowledge and learning into the arenas in which the registration draws the delegate from in the first place.
The possibility is exciting. Is achievable. Is the future.
We hope to help you shape it.
